Treeview Acres is located west of Brisbane and consists of an old Queenslander house sitting on over five acres of trees. The ground is about a foot of sand on top of solid clay and has grown nothing but native trees, the occasional clump of grass and the ever-persistent ‘zombie weed’ for many years. But, like many, we have a dream. A dream of fresh fruit and vegetables and goats and chickens and alpacas and… well, I guess you could call it ‘the good life’. Our land may not be perfect, but we’ve got a bit to work with and we’re not trying to plant a fruit orchard overnight. We’re starting small and this blog is to follow our progress bit by bit as we make progress towards a more sustainable future.
